Problem: You need to run md5sum.exe from a command prompt located in the folder with the ISO file.
Solution: You can do this on the desktop:
- For all Windows OS, you can add the command to your right-click menu manually:
1 - In Explorer, open Tools >> Folder Options (or View >> Folder Options)
2 - Select the "File Types" tab
3 - Select the entry labeled Folder
- For Windows NT/98/95: Press "f" to scroll to the Folders section.
- For Windows 2000: Press "n" to scroll to the N/A section.
- For Windows XP: Go to NONE / Folder.
4 - Change the settings for all "Folders" files
- For Windows NT/98/95: Press the "Edit" button.
- For Windows 2000/XP: Press the "Advanced" button.
5 - Select the "New" button
6 - In the "Action:" field type "Open DOS prompt here ..." without the quotes
7 - In the "Application used to perform action:" field type "cmd.exe" without the quotes
8 - Leave the "Use DDE" checkbox unchecked
9 - Click "OK", then "OK", then "Close" to exit Folder Options.
10- Now, when you right-click on any folder (for instance, the folder that the ISO file is in) you will see an entry "Open DOS prompt here...". Clicking on that entry will open a DOS prompt already located in that folder, and you can go to the next step.
