Installing From The Patch ---------- ---- --- ----- 1) You will need to create a directory on a file system with at least 10MB free. For the following instructions, the name of this directory is assumed to be SNC1.2. You are free to use any name you choose, just substitute the directory name used in the commands that follow. 2) cd to the directory. 3) tar xvf /dev/rst0 [Use the appropriate tape device name] 4) Now you have loaded the SNC 1.2 CD image on your file system. To install the product, run cdm as follows: # cdm [Enter 1 - Select Application] [Enter 1 - Sun Network CoProcessor] [Enter 3 - Install Application] Answer the remaining installation questions. At the end you need to follow the directions given for booting the generated kernel. Please refer to "Sun Network CoProcessor, Release 1.2, Installation Guide" for details installation instructions. After the installation is complete, you may delete the directory. Save the Snc/_install directory if you want to de-install the SNC release in the future. The de-install_snc script is used to de-install the SNC software.
