Check out: http://www.novell.com/corp/programs/ncs/toolkit/nw4tools.html There's a file there called FSMIRROR.ZIP that allows you to do this. It's a beta release, and in fact crashed one of my servers recently when I tried it, so don't try it on a live production server during work hours. The ABEND I got had more to do with an outdated version of DISCPORT, but it's still a valid warning. There are quite a few interesting tools on that page, btw, including an enhanced LOGIN program, an NDS filter, and a snap-in to NWAdmin (which I have not tried) that "allows the administrator to grant the necessary rights to an organizational role object to allow occupants to "just" reset intruder lockout, grace logins, and change passwords." ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 21 Jun 1996 10:00:00 From: "Floyd Maxwell" Subject: Another "Top 10" site Novell maintains a page of the top 20 file downloads reflecting what files are downloaded the most. Good luck! ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Oct 1996 03:37:36 GMT From: "David G. McDivitt" Subject: some shareware I made I made some neat shareware programs some time ago and just updated them. They're on my web page. I've never gotten anyone else to use them, so I've never gotten any feedback. I use them all the time. One is a neat directory and file manager which uses Novell fileserver calls to copy. It will also cut, paste, and edit a file of any size, in binary mode. There's a neat copy utility, like an enhanced xcopy. Each program has a random keystroke nuisance, and by obtaining a code, and invoking the program with the code, the nuisance is disabled. If anyone downloads them and emails me, I will send you a code to use. They are very useful in a Novell environment, or any DOS environment. I'm interested in a little feedback. I make a fairly good living, so it's not my intent to make much money off these, if ever. I would like to think other people use them. I took some of my general purpose utilities and made shareware out of them. They are found at http://cust.iamerica.net/mcdivitt/sharewar.htm If anyone tries them and gives me feedback I'd appreciate it, and I may consider doing changes per request. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Oct 1996 08:40:52 +1000 From: Adrian Moore Subject: Little bit out of topic, Web servers >My firm is planning to buy Web server, may be not a NetWare and I >want to know if there are any benchmarks of other platforms.
