Main Menu
Game Menu
Start Game
Starts a new round with the active
settings.
Select
Level
You can select a specific level or use
"Random" for a randomized level
selection. (This is the default)
Select
Players
You can select the active players and
their controls. After entering this menu
all players which want to take part in
the game should press fire, enter their
names and walk to "x" (for
exit). Press fire there and you are
activated... In the game you will have
the control you used for selection and
the color your figure got there.
Selecting the players will resets the
round-statistics.
Clear
Statistics
This resets the round-statistics.
Main Menu
Goes back to the main menu.
Level Edit
Starts the level-editor.
(This is part of the full version of Semtex)
Options
Audio
Global
volume
Sets the global volume. (Similar
to the option SndGlobalVolume in the configuration
file)
Music
Turns the music on/off. You can
use the slider beside this button
to control the volume. (Similar
to the options SndModuleOn and SndMusicVolume in the configuration
file)
FX
Turns the effects on/off. You can
use the slider beside this button
to control the volume. (Similar
to the options SndEffectsOn and SndSoundVolume in the configuration
file)
Back
Goes back to the options-menu
Video
Show
title
Turns on/off the title screen.
Turning off the title screen will
reduce the startup time. (Similar
to the option ShowTitle in the configuration
file)
Use
own palette
If activated Semtex changes the
system colors (in 256 color
mode...). This will lead to a
much better image quality and
Semtex will be much faster. For
trouble-shooting you should turn
this option off. (Similar to the
option ChangeSysPalette in the configuration
file)
Enhanced
blitter
The enhanced blitter is optimized
way of drawing. Leave it enabled.
(Similar to the option EnBlitter in the configuration
file)

Goes back to the options-menu
Keyboard
Define
Control 1
You can define your personal
keyboard layout 1.
IMPORTANT: Due to the layout of
keyboards not all combinations of
keys are possible. You have to
try out which combination works
fine on your keyboard.

Similar to "Define Control
1", but for keyboard layout
2.

Goes back to the options-menu
Joystick
Calibrate
A
You can calibrate your joystick
A. Do this every time you change
the joysticks. If a player alway
moves into a direction you can
try to move the joystick a little
bit into this direction while you
are asked to center the joystick.
This might help.

B
Similar to "Calibrate
B", but for the second
joystick.
