Welcome to Raycone WeboardoSeek documentationWeboardoSeek is a search engine for files on your disks. If you have used any Internet search engines, you'll become familiar with WeboardoSeek very soon.Short - just usageEnter searched word(s). If the "found" file MUST contain a word, prefix the word with '+'. If it MUST NOT contain a word prefix it with '-'. <ENTER> Double-click to open.Example: "+alpha beta -gama" will find a file that contains at least one "alpha", may or may not contain "beta" and does not contain "gama" Longer - if you want to use the full power of WeboardoSeekYou can search for an expression in HTML files (html, htm) or source code files (cpp, h, etc.). WeboardoSeek uses BeOS's file system query functions to obtain files of those types. You can search all yours disks (with Be file system), "/boot" disk or limit the results to a directory. Even if you select to search only a directory the whole disk (containing the directory) will be searched for files of the selected type - BeOS's file system query functions work on the whole disk. However, only files in the selected directory will be searched for the expression(s) you have specified.
You can specify which words the "found" file MUST contain ('+' prefix before the word - these will be called "AND words" later in the text), MUST NOT contain ('-' prefix before the word - "NOT words" in the text later) or MAY contain (no prefix - "OR words" in the text later).
The score for each file is counted up and if it is more than 0, the file's path and score is shown in the results box. The file with the highest score comes first. The disk is searched and every time WeboardoSeek finds a file containing an AND word or an OR word it inserts it into the list and continues searching further files. WeboardoSeek spawns another thread - Sorter - which sorts the found files according to their score while the search engine searches the disk. The Sorter is the reason why, if you run Pulse, it shows you "processor working at full speed" all the time. Don't worry about it. The Sorter is a very low priority thread - it doesn't eat much of your processor's performance cake :-)O)) and it shows you the best result in the first position almost all the time. However, WeboardoSeek is not a human being - it can just try to find what you are looking for. The choice is up to you. You can double-click the file you like and it opens in NetPositive (if you are searching for HTML files) or in BeIDE (if you are searching for source code files). We hope this program will help you find what you are looking for. Enjoy!
