===================== File: Inform-6.15.pkg Author: Graham Nelson Porter: Stephen van Egmond Release: 6.15 Compatibility: PR2 or better, I think Location: http://www.truespectra.com/~svanegmo/Be/ Description: Inform is a compiler for interactive fiction. Notes: Anyone who has played text adventures like Zork, Planetfall, or the Scott Adams originals has probably wanted to write one of their own. Inform is a tool that lets you do just that. It includes a powerful, C-like, faintly object-oriented language, an expressive parser, and a sophisticated world-modelling library that incorporates containers, lights, containers, supporters, vehicles, scoring, disambiguation, timers, daemons, and much much more. Inform compiles its code to the Z-machine, a platform- independent virtual machine designed on a kitchen table in Pittsburgh in 1979. All of Infocom's text-adventure releases also used the Z-machine. A Z-machine interpreter, frotz, is included. Complete documentation, source, and samples games (Crowther & Woods' Advent, too) are included. This package is for both PowerPC and Intel. =====================
