Short: Audio beeps for OS 2.0 Architecture: m68k-amigaos SoundPrefs is a 2.0 (and probably v37) only tool for enhancing the DisplayBeep function. It allows you to replace or supplement the screen flash used by DisplayBeep with either a tone whose frequency you choose, or with an arbitrary 8SVX file. It is properly reentrant, and will only beep until the sample has been played once without a new beep arriving. A string of seven beep arriving before the first playing of the sample ends results in the sample being played twice. It includes both the program SoundPrefs, which does the work, and a 2.0 style prefs program "Sound" that allows you to select no sound, tone or 8SVX file, and to disable the flash. SoundPrefs tracks changes to prefs as you would expect.
