Short: Get 724x566 on a standard Amiga with CM8833II/1084s monitor Author: Philip Goddard Uploader: philip amethyst demon co uk (Philip Goddard, Pure Amiga) Type: util/wb Architecture: m68k-amigaos This is a very small utility (?) that will enable you to get a resolution of 724x566 on a bog-standard Amiga, with a Phillps CM8833II or Commodore 1084s monitor. There's no hardware alterations needed (well, apart from the screensize controls), and no new drivers. It uses the Overscan video mode of the Amiga's native chipset to boost the resolution up a little. You can still use *all* your games and other apps without any loss of picture, flawlessly- no, really! :) 724x566 is for AGA chipsets, ECS/OCS may get slightly less, if anything. Just try it- you can't break it. This won't work with GFX cards (c'mon guys, do you really need it? :-) but is not tested with any modes other than the standard Amiga modes (Lowres, Hires, and Interlace on both), so I can't be responsible if you try using it on something like Multiscan:Productivity. Until you get a GFX card (which you /are/, OK? :-)), this is near as dammit to 800x600- try running Voyager on a screen this size :). Have fun!
