This is a placeholder homepage installed by the Debian package of the Apache web server installation routine under /var/web/webspace. You want to replace this as soon as possible with your own web pages.

The server is configured as follows:

• The DocumentRoot, which is the directory under which all your HTML files should exist, is set to /var/web/webspace.

• CGI scripts are stored in /var/web/cgi-bin

• Configuration files can be found in /etc/httpd

• Logs are placed in /var/log/apache-httpd

• The default directory index is index.html This means that requests for a directory /foo/bar/ will give the contents of the file /var/web/webspace/foo/bar/index.html if it exists.
