Subject: [*] Bumbler Bee-Luxe 1.0.1 demo
Another busy day collecting pollen and making honey when--ATTACK!
Marauding insects swarm into your hive, and it's up to you to defend it
from crazed bees, hornets, spiders, armored beetles, and hoards of other
crawling and flying invaders. The survival of the hive is in your hands!
FEATURES OF BUMBLER BEE-LUXE INCLUDE:
* Over a dozen types of attacking insects, from the realistic to the
outrageous: huge centipedes, moths that catch fire and burn, deadly
hornets, mysterious glowing orbs, marching ants, robotic bees, and lots
more.
* Absolutely top-notch graphics. The visuals in Bumbler Classic drew
raves, and now they're even better.
* Stereo sound with real-time panning for a truly immersive experience.
* Finely tuned and addictive gameplay.
* Plays at a blazing 60 frames per second for silky smooth animation.
* Catchy, custom-composed theme music.
* Unlimited wild and varied levels, including choreographed bonus rounds
and specialty swarms.
* A screen-saver mode to let you show off your Mac.
With version 1.0.1 performance has been improved on low-end 603-based
Power Macs, some swarms have had their difficulty levels reduced, and a
"crash on quit" bug that showed up on about 1 in 100 machines has been
splatted.
Bumbler Bee-Luxe requires a Power Macintosh.

Subject: [*] Digital Diary v1.8.3
Digital Diary=81 is a project/decision organizer and management
center that gives you fingertip access to the current status of any of your
projects, allowing you the ability to go back to see all activities on all
projects on any day you choose. On a complex project, there could be a
dozen or more separate issues being dealt with at the same time, each of
which has its own distinct status and decision process. Wouldn't it be
great to be able to pull up the history of each of these issues at any
time?
Digital Diary=81 organizes note entries into project and day files so tha=
t
current reports of all activities on any given day or project can be
instantly viewed. Projects are organized under user-defined categories in a
hierarchical pop-up menu. Projects can be easily transferred between
categories, making it ideal for use as a convenient project status
indicator. Entries are identified with a header containing the type of
activity, project name, category, note number, and date and time of entry.
'To do list' entries will pop up to remind you of unattended items at a
chosen future date. Versatile report generation can gather, for example,
all notes of a given activity type or project status.
While most personal information managers focus on scheduling and
contacts management, Digital Diary concentrates on keeping an organized
record of your work, allowing you quick and easy retrieval of a project's
history when most needed.
Here are a few of the many uses of Digital Diary=81:
Business, Sales, and Consulting:
* Project activities and decisions
* Upcoming deadlines, meetings, and appointments
* Telephone and meeting records
* Discussions with suppliers, consultants, clients and co-workers
* Decisions made and communicated to clients, co-workers, and subordinates
* Directions received from clients, authorities, and management
* Decision / activity 'streams' relating to issues within a project

Subject: [*] HCmdButtonAttachment 1.2.1 - A PowerPlant Class
A Metrowerks PowerPlant inherited class that gives controls (LControls) a
command-key equivalent. This allows for more keyboard navigation. For
example, the traditional "Save before closing?" dialog asks to "Save",
"Cancel" or "Don't Save". Save is typically the default key (return) and
Cancel the cancel (escape), but there is no keyboard way to hit Don't
Save.
Enter HCmdButtonAttachment.
With HCmdButtonAttachment, you can give any LControl a command-key
shortcut. You can specify the key to be the first letter/character of the
control's descriptor or it can be a character of your own arbitrary
specification. You can also have the title of the control change to
display
the shortcut or not, and do so after a user-configurable amount of time.
This archive includes the HCmdButtonAttachment sources, a custom CTYP file
for use with Constructor 2.4 or later, and an example application to
demonstrate the class.
For complete information, please read the README file enclosed in the
archive.

Subject: [*] HMarqueeCaption 1.1.2 - A PowerPlant Class
A Metrowerks PowerPlant inherited class that displays a horizontally
scrolling (from right to left) "marquee" of text, similar in appearance
to the scrolling JavaScript marquee that you often see across the bottom
of web browser windows.
Features:
- Utilizes offscreen GWorlds for smooth scrolling of text.
- Uses text Handles for an amount of text limited only by available
memory.
- Utilizes modifier keys to modify scrolling behavior (increase scrolling
speed, scroll left to right, pause scrolling).
Can be used in About boxes for scrolling credits, in JavaScript
implementations
for the scrolling caption, in applications that need ticker-tape-style
animations, or anywhere a marquee-style sign and animation is desired.
The HMarqueeCaption distribution contains the HMarqueeCaption class, a
CTYP
resource for easier editing in Metrowerks Constructor, and a demonstration
application to show just how easy it is to use HMarqueeCaption (made with
CodeWarrior Professional 1).

Subject: [*] HSharableResource 1.2 and HSharablePicture 1.2 - PowerPlant Cla
HSharableResource is a Metrowerks PowerPlant inherited class that
implements simple garbage collection for MacOS Resources. Using
LSharable and TSharablePtr, the concept of reference counting makes this
all possible. HSharableResource strives for minimal reliance upon
PowerPlant and could possibly be used in non-PowerPlant contexts.
HSharablePicture is a variant upon PowerPlant's LPicture class. It
utilizes HSharableResource to manage the 'PICT' resource so it can clean
up after itself.
The distribution contains the HSharableResource source, the
HSharablePicture source, a CTYP file for HSharablePicture, and a small
demonstration application. The files in the archive were created with
CodeWarrior Professional 1.

Subject: [*] HStringList 1.1 - A PowerPlant Class
HStringList a Metrowerks PowerPlant class that implements an object for
creation, management, and manipulation of string lists. It is primarily
oriented towards 'STR#' resources, but the class can be easily modified
to suit any similar such need.
HStringList can handle the read/write of the resource, management of it,
use of Pascal-style or C-style strings. It strives to offer a lot of
functionality and flexibility. One could easily extend the class's
functionality to suit just about any string-list management needs.
Due to developments in PowerPlant, HStringList requires at least
PowerPlant v1.8 (part of CodeWarrior Professional 2). There is a simple
demo application included in the archive to demonstrate how the class
can work.

Subject: [*] HToggleRadioButton 1.2.2 - A PowerPlant Class
This class (derived from the PowerPlant class, LToggleButton) attempts to
give the LToggleButton class a radio-button-like behavior (i.e. you can
create a radio group that includes objects of this type and only one
member
of that group will be "on" at a time).
You can have in the same radio group both these HToggleRadioButton's and
LStdRadioButtons (or any other radio button class)...click on a radio,

Subject: [*] macspd-311a.hqx
SPD For MacOS
by Eric Haines and Alexander Enzmann
MacOS conversion by Eduard Schwan
* What Is It?
SPD stands for "Standard Procedural Database", and is a suite of
applications that can automatically create complex and interesting
scene files for many different ray tracers. Some of the output
formats include DXF, QuickDraw3D/3DMF, VRML 2, POV-Ray, RTrace,
Renderman RIB, etc.
SPD comes with complete source code in C, so you can study it, or
build your own applications with it.
SPD is not shareware or freeware, it is Public Domain, which means
you have unrestricted rights to do whatever you want with it!
SPD has been compiled to run on any 68020 or better computer, no
FPU required. It runs fine under System 7 or 8, and runs fine
(emulated) on PowerPCs.
* What Is It Useful For?
It was originally written to create standardized benchmark scenes
for different raytracers on different computer platforms.
You could use it to test your own ray tracer, to insure it handles
complex reflection and refraction, and multiple light sources, and
different primitive shapes.
It contains a powerful general-purpose library for creating many
types of primitive objects & writing to many raytracer file
formats. You could use this library to write your own
auto-scene-generators.
It comes with several file-format readers (DXF, NFF, Wavefront
OBJ), and you could add more and use this as a general-purpose file
format converter, read in one scene file format and write to any
other scene file format.

Subject: [*] PushBtnBachInstaller2.sit.hqx (abstract)
PushBtnBach is an example of algorithmic composition software. PushBtnBach
will keep generating new minuets in the style of Bach as long as you can
keep pressing the Compose button. Version 2.0 introduces a "continuous
mode" in which it keeps generating and playing without intervention. The
revamped user interface adds drag-and-drop and OS 8 support, and a new
installer makes it easier to get going. Other features include saving as
type 1 or type 0 standard MIDI files, real-time instrumentation changes,
and a preview of some of the options available with the non-shareware
version (check the Options item under the PushBtnBach menu). Note that
MIDI Manager, while not required, is recommended and the installer will
install this extension.
The program uses a small subset of functions from the Y.M.E. toolkit (YAV
Music Engine) to generate a Bach-like menuet using a structural model. This
semantic description is expressed in "YMTDL" ("YAV's Music Transformation
Description Language"). Generating music from a model is an entirely
different approach to that employed by the companion program CyberMozart
(which simply simulates the tossing of dice to re-arrange existing musical
fragments stored as MIDI chunks, much like the approach taken by many
interactive music CD-ROMs which use digital audio chunks insteac of MIDI).
The pair of programs (PushBtnBach and CyberMozart) illustrate the
difference between the infinite world of interactive music and the finite
world of interactive audio.
PushBtnBach a great way to obtain license-free music for your multimedia
production. Just be sure to mention how it was created.

Spanish Nouns 1.1 is a module written by Juan Manuel Soto Arriv=ED for the
language-learning programs 'Verbs & Nouns' and 'V&N Lookup'. It is for
students learning Spanish as a foreign language.
This module helps you to study and practise the different ways of forming
the plural of Spanish nouns, and the use of the definite article. It
contains more than 1800 nouns.
You can change or delete existing entries, add new words, and construct
groups of nouns that you want to practise. Translations in English are
included, and you can use it to practise translation. You can also do
exercises based on sound, but at present you have to record the sound for
yourself (or use text-to-speech feature).
To use this module, you need to have the application program 'Verbs &

subtle things as the water swishing about in the huge pond, which is
filled to the brim with 8 kinds of fish, plus plenty of secrets that few
humans have ever laid eyes on! This is a worthy addition to any sports
game enthusiast's library.
