Subject: [*] "Styles" Byzantium final release for K2
This is the final version of Byzantium, an elaborate color scheme for
Kaleidoscope 2.0. It is reminiscent of amber, fire opals, and antique gold.
Byzantium has custom finder colors, patterned header and window
background, custom folders and trash, matching new cursor,
windowshade sounds, and desktop and utility patterns, all written into
the scheme. There are also extra patterns in clipping format and a new
desktop picture by Bill Paris. Shareware.
Thanks much,
Janet

Subject: [*] Analog 3.0 - Fast, professional WWW logfile analysis
Analog 3.0a: Fixed a bug that caused occasional random crashing.
Now correctly handles NetPresenz "not modified" status. Faster
display of error and warning messages.
Analog 3.0: First official release version of Analog 3!
Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Danish and Hungarian language
files added.
Analog is a web server logfile analysis program. It tells you which
pages are most popular, which countries people are visiting from,
which sites they tried to follow broken links from, etc. It has the
following advantages over other similar programs.
* It's fast=8A Very fast. Analog can uncompress and process 1.5
million logfile lines per minute (on a 266MHz G3, your milage
may vary).
* It's easy to install and run.
* It's very flexible. The default output will be satisfactory for
most people, but there are hundreds of options producing 27
different reports for those who want to do things differently.
* It can output in 14 different languages, and 4 output formats.
* It understands WebStar, Quid Pro Quo, Boulevard, MacHTTP,
Microsoft Personal Web Server, Apple Share IP 5.0, and NetPresenz
log formats as well as the common log file format, NCSA/Apache
combined format, referrer log, browser log, W3 extended format,
Microsoft IIS format, Netscape format, and the user can specify
additional formats.
* It should work on any Macintosh, and versions are also available
for Windows (3, 95 & NT), DOS, lots of flavours of Unix, OS/2,
VMS, Acorn RiscOS, and BeOS.
* A recent survey showed that over 20% of webmasters use Analog,
more than any other logfile analysis program. Try asking AltaVista
for some of them.
* It's free (under the conditions of the licence).
* Oh, one more thing. It is Year 2000 compatible. (And so were all
previous versions).
This is a port of Analog 3.0 for the Macintosh.

DIGITAL DIARY (v1.8.8a)
Activity / Decision Organizer. and Project Management Center for the Apple

INTRODUCTION

2 megs free RAM, =B11 Meg disk space
Demo available for downloading from our web site at
'http://www.canadawired.com/gta'.
The demo allows 100 note entries, after which the program must be registered=
.
Digital Diary is a project management center that gives you
fingertip access to the current status of any of your projects, allowing
you the ability to go back to see all activities on all projects on any day
you choose. On a complex project, there could be a dozen or more separate
issues being dealt with at the same time, each of which has its own
distinct status and decision process. Wouldn't it be great to be able to
pull up the history of each of these issues at any time?
Digital Diary organizes note entries into project and day files so that
current reports of all activities on any given day or project can be
instantly viewed. Projects are organized under user-defined categories in a
hierarchical pop-up menu. Projects can be easily transferred between
categories, making it ideal for use as a convenient project status
indicator. Entries are identified with a header containing the type of
activity, project name, category, note number, and date and time of entry.
'To do list' entries will pop up to remind you of unattended items at a
chosen future date. Versatile report generation can gather, for example,
all notes of a given activity type or project status.

located in the active System Folder restarts it automatically.
- Added the possibility of setting/opening all kinds of Finder items:
folders and volumes as well as files.

- Fixed Drag and Drop deadlock when resolving alias files while Control
Panel is in background.
- Fixed a potential problem when drawing start-up icon at init time.
- Dialog window is automatically repositioned if no part is visible on any
monitor.
- It is now possible to drag a disabled item (when not available) from one
modifier key to another one in the Control Panel.

Description:
MultiHomedPresenz 1.0.2 offers single-IP multihoming over HTTP for servers
running NetPresenz 4.1 or later. Essentially, it makes it so that you can
have one machine be, say, www.cajunmonk.ml.org, mhp.cajunmonk.ml.org, etc,
and give a different response for each. It really isn't half as complicated
as it sounds, and takes about 5 minutes to set up. This replaces all

Subject: [*] MultiTimer Pro 3.0
MultiTimer Pro is a utility for tracking the time spent on projects and jobs
performed on a Mac. MultiTimer Pro will be an invaluable asset to graphic
designers, Web designers, content creators of all types, consultants, lawyers,
accountants, and anyone who uses a Mac and either bills for their time or
needs to keep track of time for any other purpose. MultiTimer Pro is ideally
suited to self employed individuals, large companies, and everything in
between.
Here are just a few of the features of MultiTimer Pro:
* Track time EASILY, with a simple and intuitive interface.
* Track expenses as well as time.
* View a complete history of your timed sessions in a "log" window. Logs are
fully editable and can be configured in a variety of ways.
* Set hourly rates and have charges automatically calculated for each session.
* Attach notes to any or all session and expense records.
* View total times and total charges for a day, week, month, year and grand
total, all at a glance.
* Automatically open multiple files or applications when a timer is started.
* Optional notification when an application quits, to remind you to turn off a
timer.
* Unique optional "floating window" is always visible, shows you the timer
status and accumulated time.
* Apply user-defined "category" labels to sessions or expenses, with attached
hourly rates or charges.
* Extensive Undo support in logs, and an option to make manual adjustments
visible as separate records.
* Unique "cross-log reports" allow you to view and sum the data from multiple
projects.
* Elegant, attractive design throughout, with Mac OS 8 platinum appearance.
* As powerful as you need, or as simple as you want; hide the features,
options and information you don't use.
The full power of MultiTimer Pro can only be hinted at here, but the
simplicity of the program is easier to describe: To start tracking time on a
new project you make a single menu selection and type in a name for the
project. Tracking the accumulated time spent on a project is accomplished by
clicking a start/stop timer button. Switch between projects with a popup menu.
View the log of a project by clicking a button. And so on -- everything is
intuitive and easy. With MultiTimer Pro you have all the features you need in
a time-tracking utility, coupled with unparalleled ease of use.
This is version 3.0 of MultiTimer Pro, and is the premier release of
MultiTimer Pro. This is a "quantum leap" upgrade of Bunker's earlier product
MultiTimer 2.1.5.
Requires: System 7.1 or later, a monitor displaying 16 grays or better.

Subject: [*] OneApp Address Book 1.0.2 - telephone and address program.
OneApp Address Book is a practical telephone and address program for
Macintosh that allows you to quickly and easily manage addresses, phone
numbers, URLs and Email addresses. All this information, previously
scattered on notes, notepads, diaries, phone books and also in various
Email programs, Internet browsers and databases, is now stored in a
single place. With OneApp Address Book you can quickly find what you are
looking for. OneApp Address Book helps you in your daily work at the
office or at home and can follow you everywhere in your PowerBook.
OneApp Address Book is integrated with the Internet, allowing you to
connect with Web pages and send Email using your favourite Email and
browser software. The program also helps you to dial phone numbers by
reading them out loud (through the speaker) and has a most useful
calendar that appears in a small separate window.
OneApp Address Book lets you easily import addresses from the principal
Email clients, like Claris Emailer, Eudora Light, Eudora Pro, Microsoft
Outlook Express and from text files exported from Claris Works, Microsoft
Works and FileMaker Pro. In addition you can export the whole OneApp
Address Book database or selected parts of it.
OneApp Address Book is shareware. If you use it for more than a week or
two, please register your copy using the Register program that
accompanies the program or, if you have an Internet connection and want
to pay by credit card, you can register OneApp Address Book online using
a web form. Once you have registered, you are considered registered for
all future versions of OneApp Address Book, so you do not need to pay any
additional fees when you upgrade to a new version.
OneApp Address Book can be freely distributed, either online or on CD-ROM
without restrictions, provided that the original package is included.
OneApp Address Book needs Mac OS 7.1 or later and at least 1600K of
available RAM. It works on Macintosh with 68000 series processors and
runs native on PowerPC Macs.
The phone numbers dictation feature requires Apple Speech Manager (not
included in this program). Opening Internet connections requires Internet
Config extension (not included); version 1.4 is recommended.

Subject: [*] PingReporter1.3.sit
PingReporter 1.3
This is a little application started out as a quick hack to save myself a
lot of hassle when it came time to sift through the large log files,
created by ICMP Logger during a ping attack, pulling IP numbers and other
data out and to organize it in a neat and legible sort of way before
sending it off to my local ISP. It has now become a useful MacOS
application.
Comes in two flavours: 68K and PPC!
What's New:
- Added recognition of log file date stamps & midnight hour roll-overs.
(It now organizes the data by date as well)
- Turfed the Unix console style interface and replaced it with a proper
MacOS UI.
"Hey, it's free-ware!"

Simple Scripts 0.8
Simple Scripts is basically just a test for me, where i'm finding out
about my very minimal AppleScript coding skills. I used to do simple
scripts like this a couple of years ago, then they were known as Cleaner
Package. As a matter a fact, i got pretty much good feedback from those
people who used it. It was also my first appearance on the Internet as a
script producer. I eaven got my scripts on an issue of MacFormat, an
british Mac magazine.
Simple Scripts contains 14 very simple scripts, such as "Empty trash",
"Quit Finder", "Desktop Pattern to Mac OS face" and "Sleep".

Subject: [*] Squealer
Does your Mac make a squealing sound during startup? If you have a
Performa or Power Macintosh 52xx/53xx/62xx/63xx series computer running
Mac OS 8.1, this squealing occurs when the system volume is set to an
even numbered value (2, 4, or 6).
"Squealer" is an AppleScript applet which automatically sets your volume
to an odd number (3) to avoid the problem. Simply put "Squealer" into
your Shutdown Items folder (which is inside your System Folder) and
you'll never have to suffer through that annoying squeal again.
"Squealer" is freeware.

Subject: [*] Window Monkey 1.2.4 English
This is the English version of Window Monkey 1.2.4.
Window Monkey adds background pictures or textures to any window in the
Finder. You can color-code your windows to see at a glance what they
contain, or use wild patterns just for fun: your folder of "work stuff"
can have a background that looks like a legal pad, and you can add some
hearts to your folder of love letters. Patterns aren't just for desktops
anymore!
The program is useful, too. The handy Window Monkey menu lets you quickly
go to any window in any application, even if it's buried beneath many
other windows. Window Monkey also remembers recently used folders and
lets you instantly jump to any open or recently used folder from an Open
or Save dialog box.
45 background patterns are included, and you can add as many as you wish
by simply pasting or dragging pictures into the control panel.
Version 1.2.4 adds control panel support for Kaleidoscope schemes and
Appearance Manager themes. As always, it is a free upgrade for users who
have already registered.
Window Monkey is compatible with System 7 and Mac OS 8 and later,
including Mac OS 8.1. It is also compatible with other desktop
enhancements such as Kaleidoscope.
$20 shareware. A Japanese version is also now available.

This is the Japanese version of the Window Monkey package.
Choose patterned backgrounds for Macintosh Finder windows. You even get a
handy way to navigate through windows and folders, so it's useful, too.
MacAddict magazine rates Window Monkey among the top 20 Mac shareware
programs, CNET calls the software "too cool," and MacWorld magazine chose it
as a Pick of the Week. For Mac OS.
Window Monkey adds background pictures or textures to any window in the
Finder -- it's like "Desktop Patterns" or "Desktop Pictures", but for folder
window backgrounds instead of the desktop.
You can color-code your windows to see at a glance what they contain, or use
wild patterns just for fun. Give your folder of "work stuff" a background
that looks like a legal pad, or choose a background of hearts for that ZIP
disk full of love letters.
This program also helps you better manage your windows in every application
(not just the Finder): You can use the handy Window Monkey menu to quickly
go to any window in any application, even if it's buried beneath many other
windows. Window Monkey also remembers recently used folders and lets you
instantly jump to any open or recently used folder from an Open or Save
dialog box.
46 background patterns are included, and you can add as many as you wish by
simply pasting or dragging your own pictures into the control panel.
Window Monkey is compatible with System 7 and Mac OS 8 and later (including
8.1).
